Is the rear parcel shelf trim wet? Parking nose up prevents water that runs off the hood from running out through the drains since these drains are located near the 'B' post where the hood frame is anchored. Hi, guess a degrease with meths and assuming there is still paint on then just use an aerosol acrylic paint, matt finish probably closer match than satin matt. Just been and bought some 5/40 Halfords oil, as the general consensus is that it is actually comma I may well get another to use in the zed. Interestingly it appears to be packaged as 5 litres now, is the 4 litre ones old stock with the date on it being June 2015? perhaps it's just a stock clearance...

That's cheaper than Wilko oil that I put in me old van! Will have a look, not for the Zed of course though! Used to use Unipart 20/50 oil which was a good enough price to change every 3,000 miles. I see Halfords oil is only 4 litres though, another of todays subtle cons akin to selling watered down ...

Ah, thinking about it you are more than likely correct! Got to get one of those LED bulbs for the interior though, presume it dims as it goes off in pretty much the same way as the standard bulb?

Hi, I like the idea of the LED interior bulb, had a look on the link you posted and states also for number plate lamp, would it not be too bright as a number plate bulb if it's that good as an interior bulb?

Gaydon is an excellent museum and well worth the visit. If the Land-Rover test track is running still then pay for a ride on that, serious fun. The Coventry Motor Museum is also good as suggested but not that easy to find especially if you are not used to driving our inner city roads!

Hi All, Anyone able to furnish me with torque figures (angles) for a 2000 facelift 1.9 M43 8 valve engine (as opposed to the earlier twin cam 4 cylinder).
Head bolt initial torque figure plus angles. Camshaft retaining cap nuts. Camshaft drive sprocket bolts.

Seen that before, it's the result of someone using an angle grinder or the likes to cut metal nearby. Showers of hot metal dust burn into the paint, only way usually to get rid of it is to wet flat with 2000 grade wet/dry paper and polish back with Farecla G3. Hi, The grey pipe you refer to sounds like the battery vent pipe. The 90 degree fitting pushes onto the top of the original spec battery with the other end of the pipe exiting through the boot floor to vent charging gases to the outside of the boot.
