we have one but will be moving the obc there when fitting the z3m console

should be marked on the cover on the passanger side eg. srs airbag
our 1999 prefacelift does not but it does have a sticker in the window warning of an airbag

no it is the part that goes under part 3 that holds the leather gaiter open

z3m gaiter surround needed , the part that sits under the chrome ring that holds the leather gearstick gaiter down , looked on real oem but could not find it . does anyone know what it is called or part number ?

I have an extended leather dash to fit but being put off by it needing to take a lot of the car apart!

A big job as the steering wheel has to come off you can get the holes repaired.

Just normal spray cans from amazon plus a clear coat.
Went to halfords with a leather part and BMW Siena red was the best match.

Acs is not the same as ours is a pre facelift and has a 6 pin connector.
Will find bill for vdo senders the oil tem one goes in the sump plug.

Another reason is you can now look up all the old mot's as we did before buying includes the milage and any advisories .
Only the last 6 years but gives a good history rather than stamps in a book that need checking .

now fitting a z3m console and have an extended leather dash to fit.

Type 2 split rims, we have polished outers and gunmetal centres they look good on a black car. Wanted 17's to keep the ride the same but 18's do look good.

will be spraying the m console siena red before fitting

Anyone know the sump thread size of a 1999 z3 2.8 ( have tried google )
need to order a oil temp pressure gauge sump plug and air temp sensor for the m console retrofit I am doing .

Eased the bevel out with a small flat bladed screwdriver slowly all the way round then levered the ring off
The faces were replaced with acrylic cut on a laser cutter
Just the clock to do but we are in wyoming heading for yellowstone

Only seen 2 zeds in 1500 miles so far !

Yes thanks need to find the plastic part that goes round the bottom of the gaiter as it is not the same as a normal zed

Got hold of an z3m centre console ( thanks alec ) but one of the gauges looked burnt ( knew this prior to sale ) very carefully eased of the bevel and replaced with 3mm acrylic. looks like new now. :) Next thing spay gloss black and lacquer before http://i934.photobucket.com/albums/ad186/peterandjen...
