Anyone know if Service + is a BMW thing or a local BMW inatiative (Chandlers)? Either way it's bloody good as it's 60% discount on labour charges (£120 per hour) for BMW's over 10 years old,30% for 6 years and over and 20% for 4 years and over. Makes servicing the car more or less the same price as...

Looks like the Dyson is the way to go. I will leave the storing of the soft top as long as possible. Soft Top Maintenance

My soft top is in pretty good condition, but I reckon it has not been cleaned for 2 years, I will be putting the hard top on next month. Is it better to clean the soft top now or in the spring when the hard top comes off. Would be interested to know what you long term Zed owners do.

Took wrapping of the loom today. But no obvious sign of broken wires. Next step will be to remove door card, but will need to get some spare plastic clips before doing this.

I have a problem with my passenger door locking remotely. I have used the search facility and one of the possible causes could be the wiring loom in the boot. Agree with Emek and rgf easy to fit on. Used mine for the first time last weekend and tidies things up at the back. Looks really good.

Exchanged waves with a blue Z3 on The Ridge in sunny Hastings at 5.15 this afternoon.Took the long way home. It was a really nice day to be driving the Zed with the roof down.

Harley Shute Road

I spotted 4 Z3's in Harley Shute Road in St. Leonards On Sea today, 2 blue 1 silver and 1 yellow, unfortunately I was in my girlfriends 207cc, but you still get the urge to wave. Yesterday exchanged waves from a silver Zed in Bexhill Road we were both topless.

Cleaning headlight glass

My headlight glass is dusty on the inside, is there a way of removing the glass, I noticed there are 3 clips holding the glass on, is that all that is involved to removing the glass to clean it. I am no mechanic so did not want to touch something I'm not sure about.

Your Zed looks great and the cream interior really compliments the lovely green colour. What polish did you use to get a shine like that. I'm off to Halfords on Sat. to get some polish, so it would be handy to know what you used.

Thank you everybody for your kind comments. Vixi I roadtested a MX5 which was very nice and a MR2 which was like a go kart, very nippy, but like you I settled on a Zed. Your car looks very nice too, and the light interior looks really good.

Number plate blanked out in a photo editing programme, it cloned the colour acrossed the black numbers and cloned the screwheads across too. Too technical for me girlfriend did it.

Ah! so you spotted the seagull. Living on the coast is not a great soft top environment, but I wouldn't be without my Zed. Reading all the posts I can see all you Zed owners love their cars, and in the short time I have had mine [ 10 days ] I can understand why.
