Re: Wiring loom/connector for CD43
Thanks Robert, In the background, I got some advice from another forum. I have now fitted it and got it working. It was just me being a bit of a div, not realizing that the big lump before the ISO was actually the BMW connector with a sliding lock thing! :dunce: Thanks for the advice anyway, the dia...

Wiring loom/connector for CD43
Hello All, I picked up earlier this evening, a pristine CD43 from (top bloke) Hornell. The aim is to get the M looking like its been unmolested, but updated behind the scenes with help from a dice unit and some good hidden speakers. Anyway, When I pulled out the crappy and very old aftermarket Sony ...

Re: What head unit was the Z3M shiped with?
Thanks for all of the advice chaps, and sorry its taken a while to reply. I actually managed to pick up a CD43 from Hornell today, just starting to look at fitting it now. However, I have just posted another question about the wiring loom. I guess the time will come, one day, when I stop posting que...

Wanted E36 head unit
Hello all, I'm trying to get hold of an E36 style CD head unit for my Z3M, with the aim of returning it to a more original look. If anyone has a working one that they no longer need, I would be happy to discuss pricing, would also be prepared to collect if within a couple of hours from Berkshire. Th...

Re: What head unit was the Z3M shiped with?
Thanks Heath, I think the face lift was only cosmetic, with the addition of lining to the hood, central locking and alarm control integrated into the key instead of on a separate fob and probably more that are to subtle for me to notice! So I wasn't sure if there was also a change to the stereo. Loo...

What head unit was the Z3M shiped with?
Hello All, Would any of you know what model head unit a facelift Z3M would of been shipped with? At the moment, the zed has a crappy old Sony unit that looks like it replaced the original some years ago. Ideally, I would like to get hold of whatever the original unit was, then install a Dice unit wi...

Re: Z3M Side vents estorilblue & more parts from Z3M
I don't suppose the front marker lenses survived?
If they did, I would be interested in both or just the passenger side one.
Thanks

Another one going to Silverstone
Yep, this is another one going to Silverstone for the Saturday. Struggling to imagine what a 500 strong parade lap is going to look like, or how long it will take to get all 500 round. On that note, has anyone worked out how long a line of 500 Z'ds would be? M four year old son has got it into his h...

Badge refurbishment?
Hello Offyourmarks ,
Are you still able to do the badge refurbishment?
If you are, I have a boot lid M badge that could do with your attention.
More of an open question, does anyone have any idea why it seems that only the rear badge seems to fade so badly?
Thanks

Hello All, Thanks for the advice. I spoke to RH insurance, they couldn't of been more helpful. They are going to send out an amendment to the policy, detailing the fact that the car has a Strut Brace, but this will not affect the pricing at all, not even an administration fee. So far, I'm very impre...

Strut brace and insurance
Hello Chaps, Still fairly new to the forum and Z ownership, so excuse me if this has been covered before, even though I couldn't find the specific question/answer on a search. I have insured my new ZMR with RH insurance, its listed as standard with no modifications. Its only now that I have thought ...

A bit of thigh and shoulder
Chaps, As I'm still fairly new to the Zroadster forum, thought I would post a couple of pictures of the new car. I went for the less is more approach and just posted the two snaps, one of a glimpse of thigh the other of shoulder poking out from under the cover, thought I'm not sure which end would c...

Filled it up to the gunnels at a Tesco's in York with the super super plus stuff, then took it steady all the way home. Stretched its legs a bit near Silverstone on the way from the the M1 to the M40, but then went back to cruising speed once back on the M40 and A34. By the time I got home, the tank...

Yep, according to all the documentation, first owner was a lady, so was the second (not sure how mature/senior either of the ladies were!), with the last owner being Alan, the nice chap who I purchased the Z3MR from up in york. Drove the car back the 200+ miles to Berkshire without a single hiccup. ...

Does anyone know this Z3M roadster? And servicing hints
Hello All, I'm considering purchasing a Z3M Roadster, just as a weekend and good weather play thing. But, before I take the plunge, I thought I would check to see if anyone had any history or experience of the individual car? Index is as follows: S450 MLU I suspect this has already been asked before...
