Re: Wind Deflector - Pre-facelift no roll hoops Fitting
What is the build date of your car? You can fit rollhoops to any Z3 built after 01/97 without drilling the body, so I find it highly unlikely you would need to drill anything other than trim to fit a wind deflector. I suspect the brackets will use some of the same holes as the rollhoops. Cheers R. ...

I have the same deflector, combined with roll hoops and it works pretty well, i didn't installed it, i bought it installed when i got the car, but it seems you must drill 2 small holes, at the plastics near the seatbelt, and install the deflector "base" inside the "seatbelt plastic&qu...

Ok, i got it, it is eye candy only, which is logical since you can actually see it and feel it from a closer look, i only asked because mine was supposed to be made by alumex, that's what the ebay listing stated back then at least... anyway no harm, i didn't bought them for safety in the first place

If the noise is apparent when pulling away it is most likely the rear top mounts. As the rear of the car drops on pull away, those bushes have the pressure released from them somewhat, so any considerable wear will allow them to "rattle" and "creak"... If you're replacing one yo...

Because Z3s are quite old cars now, most would benefit from changing all original bushes and suspension parts underneath the car, so I wouldn't view the renewal of the diff. bush as a waste of money even if it didn't 100% cure the problem. It was still good preventative maintenance. i agree, bushin...
