All Done Everything Paid for, Here is the description for the Villa.
This is a lovely family holiday home on a well maintained private complex with a large swimming pool in the middle.
Upstairs there are 3 large bedrooms - one double with a sitting area and wrap-around terrace a second double with pool views and a twin - all with big built in robes. There is a large bathroom, with a bath, and a white marble stairway leading down to the ground floor.
Downstairs there is an entry hall way, a modern fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, a lounge with two suede double sofa-beds, a two seater leather sofa, flat screen TV with hundreds of satellite channels. Theres a dining area with seating for eight and there is a second bathroom with shower. Internet access can be arranged through the on-site manager.
From the lounge you can walk through the double doors onto the patio that has an outdoor table setting and theres a charcoal grill. Theres a sun-bathing patio area around under the kitchen window, the garden is fenced and theres lockable car-parking.
The on-site manager greets you on arrival and shows you to your villa where there is a welcome pack that includes wine, water, milk and soft-drinks. She is on-call 24 hours a day during your stay.
Villa location
Casa Marina Villa is in a fantastic location - only 20 minutes drive from Reus airport and 1 hour south of Barcelona airport. The villa is opposite parklands and Its only a 3 minute walk to the local cafe, 15 minutes to the supermarkets and 20 minutes walk to Miami beach. A car is recommended to fully enjoy all the sites.
Port Aventura adventure park is a 20 min drive, BonMont Golf Course 15 min drive, and Barcelona 1hour. Trains run every couple of hours to Port Aventura, Tarragona and Barcelona from LHospitalet station, which is an 8 Euro taxi fare away.
More information
The villa has been renovated to a high standard in January 2010 and really looks fantastic with new sofas and beds. The cyprus trees around the fence line have grown to create a completely private garden allowing you to sunbathe on the sun lounges in the garden.
The guest book in the lounge offers some great ideas for day trips around Miami Playa and further afield. There are some picturesque villages in the mountains with wonderful restaurants (viva el menu del dia!) and interesting museums. If you would like some more information on this, just let me know.

That will be good I'm sure there are many on the forum who would like a running commentary, daily photo's would be good too.
A couple of us were talking on last weekends Kent Cruise about maybe following you as you come into Kent and down to Dover. Would you mind if we did this? Are you going down the M2 or M20?

me & the mrs could quite fancy coming along on this, but i guessing from what i've read in here we'd need to find somewhere nearby to stay.
We done a road trip last year down to bordeaux via a night and day in paris on the way - only down side is everywhere near paris is mentally crazy to drive in! Never realised how expensive & how many toll roads there were there, so all the way back we came along A' roads and was much better alround.
The north of france is pretty poor tho, wouldnt be keen on staying anywhere callais/dunkirk way

OK time for a checklist of item's needed for the roadtrip:
1) Spare Bulbs (and the tools to change them)
2) Two Hi Visibility Jackets (Must be carried in the car on view not the boot)
3) Headlight converters.
4) GB sticker
5) Warning Triange (Spanish law requires 2)
6) First Aid Kit.
7) European Breakdown cover.
8) Dont forget to tell your insurance company.
9) Driving Licence
10) Insurance Certificate
11) MOT certificate
12) Passport
12A) Registration Document (V5C) Forgot that one thanks for pointing it out.
14) A Z3 or Z4
Documents Must Be Original (Not Photocopies)
Would suggest you source everthing before leaving they do sell them on the Ferry but cost a fortune..

We drove to Lake Maggiore two years ago, though in the daily driver and not the Zed (couldn't get all four of us in the Zed) and stayed just outside a town called Cannobio. We used the toll roads to travel through France and Switzerland, passing through the St Gotthard tunnel on the way there. We came back across the Sustenpass, stopping at Lauterbrunnen to have lunch looking down the valley at the Jungfrau on the way back. We had one overnight stop at relatively cheap hotels (Ibis and Kyriad) each way.TaffZee wrote:CLOSED

It was a memorable holiday in a beautiful area, travelling through some stunning scenery, particularly on the homeward journey.
Highly recommended!!!
