Your car is amazing. Trying to think of a way to make £9k very quickly! :D

Good luck as I'm sure someone will snap that up quickly.

Hello Ken

Just to let you know that the train ticket costs have been posted to you, can you please confirm when you have received the cheque, if you have not received within the next couple of days let me know and I will cancel the cheque and send another by registered post.
Just as well you did not purchase the car, as the next day the starter motor packed up at a cost of £500 pounds, also the rear screen has been replaced with a new one

regards

Hi

Yes I know .. the 1st guy who wanted it then he changed his mind to purchase a 911 .. so that was not my fault. Also the corvette owner who I was purchasing the corvette from kept changing his mind. And also I have been suffering from overactive thyroid gland over the few past years and I dont think that was helping the decision process either. Anyway I have purchased the corvette, so I am trying to find a space for all 3 cars. The car is not advertised any where else and if it does not go, then the wife will have the Z3M, but its a little bit to good to use as a work shuttle & expensive ... but I suppose I get to get my cake and eat it.
.. third time lucky ...

Either way, I tried to persuade Dot that blue ones are faster than red ones but to no avail.
Apparently her sights are set on a new Z4 (again  )

Hi Nick,

Since you chose to put this onto an open forum, I feel it's ok to reply here. As requested, I did let you know the cheque did not arrive. Neither, after approx a week, has anything arrived by registered mail. Could I suggest that there is clearly there is an issue with your local post office. May I suggest further that you ask your local post office to send the cheque under the auspices of guaranteed delivery next day before 1.00pm. They will probably charge about £2-£3 for this, and I'm quite happy you subtract that from the overall costs of £139.70 which, if I may quote you directly, you said:

"....1st of all you will not be out of pocket, I will send you a cheque for the amount you have listed below ... not many people in this day and age would do that. Also sorry again for any arrangements your wife has made changing her working days etc."

You would also be wise to ensure that your bank cancels the first two cheques, but, as I said earlier, I'll let you know if they subsequently arrive.

best regards

Very funny 8-)

Either it goes this time or I shall have to move to get a double garage, for the vett and the M

Just to note if any one ever gets a intermittent starter motor fault, for example when you go to start nothing happens. It may not be the EWS module all the time. In my case it was the starter motor that was at fault, this is well noted on the M3 forums. So don't go taking you dash apart to find the EWS module.

all the best

Lovely Zed 8-) but I'm curious lol, I noticed the centre of the shock towers i.e. top of the shock looks off centre in the hole?

Image

compared to mine which look centred.

Just wondered why the difference?

The M will have increased castor (the top mount being offset to the rear) for better high speed stability ;)

...and just whilst I'm here, that is a stunning example. Personally, I wouldn't sell it but best of luck with the sale :)

Hi Again

Just a update, the wheels have just been refurbished in the original shadow chrome paint look as good as new. Current mileage is now 28000 and I may change the oil this month as well.

Also the car is on ebay? but to be honest I dont know why I bother as I get offers of £8000 for her!!

I'll give you £8.5k

Seriously a car like this always seems to sell almost immediately to someone who has been looking for one for a while or seems to take ages.

I don't think there is anything wrong with your price but needs someone specifically looking for a very late low mileage S54 and is prepared to pay the premium (without a warranty) which is a limited market.

Patience and I have no doubt it will sell eventually.

On the other hand its not priced to sell quickly in the current climate ?

Glad you got your sale Nick; surprised that it hung around for so long really.

Hmmm, how long before it appears on Autotrader/Pistonheads at £15k+ then? Perhaps I'm too cynical...
