Hood cover for winter

Post by TaffDaddy »

Hi all,

Would anyone have a hood cover that they are looking to sell or know of a good quality one to buy new (waterproof, breathable etc.)? My Z will not have the pleasure of a winter holiday in the warm and I want it to have its own woolly hat while it's outside in the cold :( . I don't want to be messing about with a car cover but I still want to protect the hood and rear window when the frost starts.

Cheers,

Taff :D

My zed has done two winters outside without any kind of cover and with no ill effects ie no leaks/damp. Just make sure you look after the seals and proof the fabric.

Hi,

I have a hood cover from these guys: www.roadstersolutions.com

It is lightweight, breathable material and covers the windows so no frost to scrape off in the morning.

I've had mine for the two years I've owned my Z (see my picture/avatar showing a snow covered Z all warm & snuggly under the cover).

Thanks for the responses all. 8-)

Jamezee, I know what you mean but I'm just trying to keep it looking tidy so it still looks good when I sell it in a year or two (I'm not telling the Mrs though  ).

Atlantablue/Annie, thanks for the links. They both look like they'll do the job so I'll be buying one from the UK site. One of the covers from the Amercian site was up on Ebay recently but I missed it :head: .

W4tkins, I'm watching this on Ebay but was thinking of a full hood cover to save me scraping the windows on a frosty morning :D .

I appreciate your help.
