FRONT SEAT TILT. taking orders now(delivery late jan.2013 )

Post by PCSAM »

I can now introduce you all the the new FRONT SEAT TILT KIT. . I am now taking firm orders for delivery Jan /Feb 2013. each kit (one seat) costs £40 + postage

2 x 25mm high Couplers Zinc coated Black.
2 x 40mm tapered front washers with 20mm hole to fit OEM frame nipple. Zinc coated Black
2 x M8 high tensile bolts for front mounts with.
2 x 40mm tapered rear washers with 10mm hole.

It has been CNC machined from EN8 steel. This is the same quality of steel that is used in the manufacture of drive axle shafts. The development and technical specification for it was provided by a qualified professional automotive metallurgist specialising in automotive fasteners. It provides a stable and safe platform for raising the front mount points of your car seat, which will enhance your driving comfort and eliminate “slouching” in the seat as a result of sliding forwards on leather seats..
now to the pics :D
this was the cheap and nasty fix that was on offer before

If it could be done for less, and be a 100% safe product to use, it would be cheaper. One can do anything cheaper, but the consequences of this specific modification done cheaply carries serious implications to the user and potentially third parties. In the new year I will be negotiating in an effort to reduce the production cost, but not at the risk of product failure. I am really hoping that the cost can be reduced by around £.4.00 per seat set.
Please understand, that the cost of freight almost doubles the cost by the time it arrives in the UK. The customs guys want their cut, add the VAT payable on declared value and you will grasp the outcome price.
At the moment, and with the kind assistance of "Zedonist", some small but significant changes to the original coupler and washer have been made. This will result in a simplification of production whilst actually improving the overall safety of the fitted modification. If this translates into saving a few £'s then it will be reflected in the selling price in the new year, and PCSAM will notify those who have placed orders.
I imagine if your car was fitted with the "cheapie" it would fail a MOT inspection in any country. I can confidently say, that with this new product, it will be found acceptable as a modification.
It's design is specific to the seat frame set-up of the e30, e36 and thereby the Z3.

Mine has been through 2 MOT's with the cheapie version on and has still passed without comment.

Are the ones you have produced guaranteed 100% safe for use?

How about getting them manufactured in the UK now you have the specification ?, that'll reduce costs significantly.

Same here, it's cheap but it aint nasty.
Full marks to all concerned for the time and effort involved in the development so far, I feel that if it could be produced and marketed at a lower price it would sell well.

More realistic, it seems,
Good idea, but it won't sell in any quantity at that price, "so for that reason I'm out"... :D

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..
