Has anyone ever checked out the price for a set of Z8 mirrors? They're the same as Z3 mirrors only finished in chrome.

The guy that makes up my clear headlight indicator lenses here also does chrome on plastic... I'll ask him what his price is to do the coating... might be cheaper..

........Spoke to the "chroming guy".....he reckons £ 50 for a set of Z3 door mirrors. He uses the new "chemical" type chroming system ie. not electroplating. Perhaps someone there can look into this as a local option for those who might like the chrome look ??

Then there is the option of "wrapping" or the new option of " Hydro coating" I have no idea of costs but either is an alternative to "plating". :)

...Hydro-coating is the "chemical" process... the link I posted above will take you to the website of a DIY kit to do just that...

Hydro coating is the application of a "transfer" the way I understand it?

..maybe I'm confused. I am referring to the sprayed on liquid method of silver coating which is then clear coated to give a chrome / mirror finish...
