Rough Idle. Dies when pressing gas pefal

Hi I have a bmw z3 1999 6 cylinder.
Suspect vacuum leak but can anybody suggest anything else
if not.
Car idles really badly and dies if I press the gas pedal

I had similar symptoms on my 2.2i but the cause can only be the same as mine if yours has a fly-by-wire throttle. The throttle body was sticking which meant that the only engine speed possible was that allowed by the idle control valve. If I remember rightly I also had a couple of warning lights:- DSC and engine light. A used replacement throttle body cured mine. Good Luck!
