Cars In The Park - Harewood 11th September WITH TIMES

Post by Zed Carer »

Just checked the CITP website to see if the Newby tickets are available and Harewood is now on the 11th September :D'
The main meeting point will be at Wetherby Services as usual:
Arriving from 09:15 and Departing for Harewood at 09:45.

For anyone traveling north on the A1 or west on the M62 there is an option for meeting at Ferrybridge Services and then going to Wetherby via the pretty route:
Arriving from 08:30 and Departing for Wetherby at 08:45.

If you could post your preference I'll keep the list up to date:

Hopefully I will be able to join the lineup at Harewood. I notice Chris took a nice shot of the Jag in the gallery and the zeds looked even better on the front row.

Hopefully the weather will be kind on the day - look forward to meeting up with you again.

Really upset that we can't make the Norfolk Cruise as we spent a lot of holidays around Wells, Sheringham, Waxham Sands, etc but we'll be traveling back from Scotland after our son's wedding.

Why not "print" it as a PDF then save it locally on your PC until September when you can paper print it just in time?

Yes so I do a .pdf and store it on the computer.... then I will have to remember where I put it.... it is best if CITP keep hold of it for now !!!
trust me!

Mind - I still have the one from last year, I found it just before going into Newby the other weekend!

Ohh and by they way - the picture below was the first view I had of my Z3.... a pretty poor quality picture taken on the phone.

It was raining cats & dogs when Kay pointed it out - but it did look good.
And am so glad I got a good trade-in price for my Volvo V40.
We were not going out to buy a car that day - but glad we did.

Its good getting the advise off you guys and sorting out the one or two issues you get with an older car - thanks guys.
And the days out are pretty good too.

Ok Ok Ok
So I can see the errors of my thinking - I will take a print (and put it where the one from last year was), I will also do a PDF and store it where I stored the last on (if I can find it again) and if all else fails, I can go back to the CITP site and print off another.

You never know, the CITP website may crash on the very morning the we set off to the Harewood!

Nice try - good to tell your from Leeds
Unfortunately tha dunt get owt for nowt.
If you want to come you need to register with the Cars in the Park websiteand cough up £7 for car and passengers.
Nearer the time, meeting arrangements will be published so that the Zeds arrive in convoy.
Previously we have congregated at Wetherby services as a convenient spot and only about 7 miles from Harewood.

Got this e mail from CITP today, if anyone has already printed their tickets they need to re print them.

'Hi,

I am sorry, but I am sending out this email to ask you to re-print the tickets for CITP.
Due to concerns about re-use of 2010 tickets I have had to change the graphics on the tickets for CITP.

Harewood will be given the new colour tickets. They now have a different colour and text with the valid year and venue on the graphics.
I appreciate your co-operation. You should be able to log back in and just re-print your ticket.

Regards
Chris
CITP Organiser'

Hey all,

Okay, I'm down in East London...never been to a car show before and really want to attend this one. Its a 4 hour drive away, which means I may be leaving at around 4am. Anyone else mental enough to be doing the same?

Not quite 4am but I've left at around 5:30am to drive from Yorkshire to Barrow-in-Furness, M62/M61/M6 going and through the Yorkshire Dales coming back. Another time I got a cheap Travelodge room and made a weekend of it - road trip with my nephew.

Why not drive up on the Saturday evening and check in at the travelodge at ferrybridge, you will then only have to roll out of bed to meet everybody on the Sunday morning. :D

You must be flush then, I've been saving up for months and still haven't got enough!

I am hoping to be there, it will be a first for me though. I am not sure my car is really in the best condition for showing off. It is almost entirely stock as it rolled of the factory floor 14 years ago, except for the Fleabay BMW valve caps! It does come complete with scratches, scuffs, paint chips and a roof which is coming unstitched! ''

I can always park it behind all yours, maybe no one will notice!

I'll see you at Ferrybridge if I pluck up the courage.

Hi wildeboy - you can park next to me (12 years old, numerous stone chips, a couple of small car park dings, etc). Keep meaning to find the time (and funds) to at least have a front end respray but then there's that scratch on the rear bumper :head:

Seriously when I first got mine I went to Harewood and parked it in the public car park but I soon learned that everyone has to start somewhere and there is a lot of satisfaction in getting jobs done. I'll put you on the list for Ferrybridge.
