Oct 10 (Sun): Herts Blast II - The Breakfast Run

Post by RobBruce »

Due to popular(ish) demand I'll be running the Herts Run again, but this time with an Oh-dark-hundred start.

Same route as last time, but meeting at 0700hrs  to leave at 0730.

This way we'll hopefully miss most of the traffic, and have a cracking cooked breakfast at the Super Sausage........ That's the place we all stopped at but TimTim went whizzing past :D

I promise not to have as many horses, joggers, cyclists or pansy Focus RS drivers this time..........

Any one fancy it?

Would love to come along again but not at that time on a Sunday morning   Give me a hoot if you zoom round the magic roundabout though!

Rob, as you're now in traffic, have you been given that unmarked SKODA I spotted on the A41 a couple of weeks ago? oh dear

Jungle you have a PM.

Will update with runners and riders soon.

Please note we won't be eating at the pub this time! But will probably still stop at The World Of Deer Poo

Pass the Pro-Plus

Post by Alfie »

I know I'm gonna regret this......but yeah, I'm gonna do my best to get there for 7:29am.

Seeing as I couldn't make either of the runs last weekend (sorry chaps), I guess I should make the effort.

I am SO NOT a morning person (some might have noticed....?) and getting to a start point for 10am on a Sunday is tough enough, but 7....??? OUCH!

I'll just have to keep the roof down on the M1. That should shake the brain into a false sense of being awake.

Cut me a triple expresso......

Cheers!

Please note :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :I don't have the official route, I've just tried to guesstimate it using last time's map. According to that, we should be finished at about 10:30, but I don't know how long the Super Sausage is going to take...

Post by Mr Tim »

Blonde bird has only been there once, so vague!!! (usual really) Actually she's quite bright! Anyway, think its off at junction 15 of M1 towards Northampton, past the turn off for Barclaycard HQ and a way down the road on the left hand side. Had she been joining us could have helped more, but boys morning out she feels!!! Also where is elusive rob the Bruce? Route perhaps?

Post by RobBruce »

I go away for a few days and come back to this abuse!

Oh how I miss you all...........

Right, first of all CHEERS MATE to Spokey for answering a few questions (well, trying to).

Second, the maps and route are on the first Herts Blast post - it's the same route, just earlier :D

Third - it's the Super Sausage (unless it's changed recently). It's on the A5 near a village called Potterspury, a little north of the big roundabout at Hinckley. It's POINT TEN on Tim's Autoroute map on the first post. Dead easy to find, look for the large Sausage in the carpark (Spokey???)

Also, it's not only a bloke's run. My missus is coming on her first cruise, and there's usually other members of the fairer sex too - no, not Spokey. All are welcome

I'll be monitering the site for a few hours yet, so stick any questions on or PM me.

Cheers
