Has anyone try fuel additives from STP,SLICK,REDEX. i.e fuel injector cleaner and octane boost?

The general consensus from previous threads here on additives is don't waste your money. I recall evidence quoted that 'slick' can do more harm than good.
As regards fuel, the best way to get high octane is buy high octane namely 99.

Hi I started a similar thread regarding fuel just a while back!

The messages I got back were that addatives were a big no, because if your car has a cat, then it would damage it!!

The concensous for fuel appears to be V Power, however and this is purely my own personal opinion is that whilst Vpower is probably great for the engine, with its additives, your mpg will drop!!

I have started using tesco super unleaded and appear to get a better mpg than v power - although i`m not sure if they have any additives (cleaners) in tescos fuel!
