I've added some more pics, which were taken with a film camera on the day I collected my car - which is almost 8 years ago now - the tax disc shows 03/00!!! My, how she hasn't changed!

I promise to take some more this summer with the roof down! :D

I've just added another pic, taken today from my balcony - just finished washing her - so I had to take another photo! :D

Hi Rob

I like the picture of the Z in front of the dark green hedge. Its a great consrast in terms of colour, tone and texture it brings out the best in it.

The standards of pics and cars are so high.

Have now added a few more pics which were taken this weekend.

Friday - was rather overcast, but we made the most of it. Up to Ambleside and from there up to Skelwith Bridge for a picnic, shared with a Robin which perched on my door and ate from my hand. Then on through Elterwater and up Great Langdale, over the top and down into Little Langdale (top pic with 25% sign), then from there up and over Wrynose Pass to Cockley back (second picture, courtesy of Mrs T and her new camera). Mist/cloud came down on the way back over Wrynose and a little rain as we went through Little Langdale village and back to Clappersgate and Ambleside back to my parents.

Saturday - glorious day. Persuaded my mum to put her car out of the garage and took the hardtop off. Then it was top down on Crook Road to the ferry, picnic waiting for the ferry (third pic is Mrs T looking "cool" on the ferry). Brief "pitstop" in Hawkshead and then on up to Tarn Howes. Very busy up there, so we had a short work and then on down into Coniston (fourth pic is Coniston, but was struggling with the low sun to get a decent pic). Cuppa in Consiston and then back to Kendal via Greenodd with a nice sunset over Morcambe bay. Mrs T made me put the roof back up on the dual carriageway as she said she was freezing at 70 mph - I conceded as it was cold even with a hat on and it was nearly dark anyway.

Enjoy.

Cheers R.

Another pic from our Lakes weekend. We were sat in the car park at Skelwith Bridge and this little chap came and sat on my window.

Image

He enjoyed the corned beef from my sandwich that he came back for some more - ate it out of my hand! This he got a little annoyed waiting for me to take a photo before giving him some more - he left me a little "present" on my window!

(Apologies for the image quality - was taken in Mrs T's phone - I had carefully placed both cameras in the boot :head:)

Added a few new photos, taken today in the lovely spring sunshine. Roof has just been cleaned with BMW cleaner and re-proofed with BMW impregnating agent. Couldn't resist taking her out (for the third time today :D) for a few photos out in the surrounding countryside.

Cheers, Lee. It does have a few patches that look a little worn - I think it must rub a little when it is down, but on the whole it really doesn't look like it is almost 8 years old! BTW The rear screen hasn't been cleaned since before the hardtop went on, and the crease is not bad considering I the hardtop stayed on for a couple of years at one stage!

Absolute fab day for the first one after putting the hardtop away. I wasn't allowed () to have the roof down on the way home yesterday evening. Am making up for it now - big style! :D

The camera does lie - they always seem to come out more orange than they are. The colour is terracotta and I think they look great in the flesh. I couldn't justify the extra for leather when I bought the car (£1000 option- without heating!), so I went for a slightly racier colour. IMHO I think they look better than some of the red leather ones I've seen.

Got to agree with Muppet Robert, it would not be my first choice for seat colour but must allow for colour distortion, By no means knocking it. Terracotta sounds much better. I would like to see the real color in the flesh. Your car you enjoy it.

Excellent pics, and the colour combination is very nice, very distinctive.

Glad to see the hard-top came off!

Will try and take one of the crystal zed soon, Shabs - it has taken pride of place in my lounge! :P

Just added another piccy I took yesterday on the road along the back of Derwent Water (the road from Grange-in-Borrowdale to Portinscale). Was overcast and not very warm, but still dry and pleasant enough with the heating on. Lovely along that road with bracken all orange and the trees turning. :D
