Looking good Jon.
Cheers R.
Thanks for doing that.Jonttt wrote:...removed the gearknob and weighed it and the weight quoted is correct, weighs 153g on my scales.
I would say that it's all ACS short shift because at 153g, your ZHP is probably too light to make much difference.Jonttt wrote:...Its definately more precise than the S50 was but how much is short shift and how much gearknob is hard to tell without a direct comparison.

Just ordered from ClassicAdditions..........Black with red piping, they did me a cracking deal 3-4 weeks delivery.Jonttt wrote:Classic Additions
You can get "standard" fit for a lot less from them but these tailored fit are like a second skin and sooooo soft
You can even get badges etc.... on (eg Z3, BMW, Lee's car )
I think one of these should have definately been in your garage budget, any contingency left to spend
Lee if your new hoops are as tight a fit as mine I would ease them both to the same height together and work down to a height you are happy with bit by bit or you will risk not being able to match heights. You'll have the benefit of having the windbreak as well to act as a guide. There is not "right" height with the schnitzers (and therefore I assume yours) unlike the OEM hoops which have a notch for the securing bolts to guide you. Make sure you check the roof clearance as well as there is very little tolerance when lowering/down. Worth being patient and spending time getting right3.0 Lakes Lee wrote:Ditto re the excellent windbreakerfrom Simon. Mine came the other day but yet to fit as still waiting for my hoops from alumex. I too ordered the clear straps and looking at the result on jonttt's I think its a huge improvement on the originalblack velcro straps.
Thanks Simon for an excellent service
Jonn that really sucks, gutted for you too was looking forward to seeing them on the Zed.Jonttt wrote:Gutted, got this message form the seller today
"Hi john i have refunded your money just now as while packaging these alloys
i have found that the 2 rears have hairline cracks on the inner rims. I
think this is possible due to running these with run flats. I am having
them taking to a wheel speacialist after new year to check them out
first. They may only be superficial but i cannot tell and rather than mess
you around i have just refunded you just now. I can only appologise but i
dont want to sell you wheels that end up breaking especially on an m
roadster.I can only appologise just now but hopefully they are structually
ok.I am in no way a con artist and am obvisously very dissapointed myself
as worse case scenario is i will need to source 2 actuall outer rims, which
at this point i obviously am trying to avoid as 1 they cost a fortune and 2
and hard to even get a hold off.Once they have been checked out i will let
you no and have a written report on them if you are still
interested.Thought it was only fair to give you your money back just now. "
I applaud his honesty but am still gutted
