If its the cheapest way of putting you dream wheels on your Zed, why not just get a set of 5 stud wheels and get them re-cast.

All they do is fill the holes and drill in a 4x100 pcd it only costs £275.

Senna had this done on a set of BBS LM and you cant tell the difference, so if you see them on ebay he only paid £480 for them  If they dont sell there mine :D

Ben get the wheels you want and re-cast them or for £25 i will fill the holes with houmus and drill new ones for you :D

Is that the garage where all those beautifull wheels are lying around.
Please mail me the location :D
I feel a good friendship is coming too an end over here :D

Yes I have seen the Futura's beeing redrilled. It is possible because they are solid steel in the middle, it cannot be done to every wheel because most wheels are hollow to save weight.

Is it allowed in the UK :?: In Germany it is not allowed AFAIK.

Love to see Pics of the V8 8-)

OK, I’m now sorted. Ordered Original OZ Futura from Germany and coming to a UK Z1 very soon! :D
Going for 8 x 18 front and 9 x 18 on rear instead of 8.5 and 9.5 as I want tyres to overlap rims so not to get damaged at the slightest touch of a kerb!.

I have no faith in Keskin ever stocking the KT1, they can’t even bother to reply to the 3 Emails I have sent them, so they can stick em where the sun don’t shine

They are simply gourgous wheels Terry, are they the four stud ones and what did you have to part with to have them?

You have spent alot of money sorting out your Z1, it's going to look brilliant!

Good choice, but go 8.5/9.5 for the full effect, at some point you will kerb them, driving too carefully spoils the fun.

Pierre,
I believe they are just polished, is it better to have lacquered? as I though the Lacquer just peeled off eventually from stone chips over time!

If you stay with bare but polished ali keep them out of the salt - they will rapidly look like cr*p if you don't. In general 3 piece wheels, even lacquered, do not mix well with road salt as tightening all those little bolts causes cracks and breaks in the lacquer that the salt will get into.

Cheers for the info Felix.
I have no intention driving in the winter with these wheels, not that I use the Z1 in the winter. I will also be taking wheels off and putting old ones on for when I sits covered on the drive for winter. :)

Is is a question of what you want: bling bling means keeping them clean after every drive. Lacquer when original from OZ does not have this problem, you can leave them dirty for a couple of days without having to polish them again. And yes, salt is killing for every wheel

Hi Pierre,
I spoke to Claus and he says they are polished. I would have thought for over 2K I would have had an option! as I really do not want to clean wheels every time I drive the car :head: Ill see how it goes, and might send them away in the Winter to have the lips lacquered.

I finally received lowering springs today :) Hopefully I will fit today or tomorrow as weather is good!

Now I’m just awaiting delivery of wheels and new wider rear tyres

Hi HH,
I got springs 2 weeks ago, and would have had them fitted the same day if it was not for wife and kids  I had to keep wife happy painting decking and garden fence last week

Anyway, fronts have been done and hopefully I will complete the back this weekend, if im allowed out to play that is! lol.

Tomorrow I am changing front wheel bearings as I have one that is noisy so figured I would just change both of them, and while im at it I will also be changing front disks. Spoke to Claus and wheels might finally be ready to ship end of next week.

I will post pic's ASAP

You have to put in the data for the Z1, like in my pic and then your own Diff and tyresize. :D

Errrr......help? Pierre, what tyre does it recommend for 7.5/8.5 x 17" with a 3:91 Diff? I think 245/35 and 215/40?

That are the tyre sizes that look the most like the original 225/45/16 and for an original Diff.

For the 3.91 you could also take a more common 215/45/17 and 245/40/17. :D

I'm not keen on 45 profile tyres they just look so big, how much will I lose if I use 40 at the front? 2%?

It is about 3.5%, not much, just go for the 215/40 then :D

Lowers your car for about 10mm comparing the 215/45/17!
