Z1 required for a TV show
Z1 required for a TV show
Dear all
I work for a very well known TV show, which will be featuring a 1989 BMW Z1 on a forthcoming episode
As part of the show, we are looking for a pristine example of the car in order to demonstrate the car's desirability to our viewers. We are specifically after a totally standard car, but not in yellow or red
Filming would take place in the south-east of England on Tuesday 17th June. We can pay travel expenses and lunch, and your car will be seen by millions of people worldwide in a very positive light, so a nice addition to the history file.
We use a highly experienced and qualified driver (not a presenter) to get the shots of your car that we need, and we are of course fully insured for all activities.
If you are interested, please send an email to james@attaboytv.com and if possible, include a photo of your car
Many thanks
Best regards
James

Sounds like one for Keith, as his green one is shiny and standard. No offence to modified examples!

Re: Z1 required for a TV show
I had the chance of letting the TOPGEAR magazine Dec 2003 issue use my car, I thought yeh my car in print.
They were looking for a ///M Roadster, somehow my daughter got involved as there go between,
they wanted my ///M to compare and show the BMW M series through the years.
At the time I was in hospital quite ill and declined there offer.
On reflection a good move,
In the Magazine the pictures showed smoking tyres, I was assured they were expert drivers
The top M3 CSL car at the time ended up on the grass with its front spoiler ripped off
A lucky escape me thinks.

Check out the "well known TV programme" that Attaboy do and then decide . It isn't Top Gear or Fifth Gear, and it's definitely NOT Classic Car Rescue.

Dear all
I just wanted to let you know that we found a great Z1 through this forum, and have completed filming with the car
I really appreciate you allowing me to post the request here, and thanks to all of you who put forward your car for consideration
We are nearing completion of our own Z1, and I will soon be advertising it for sale
Thanks again to you all, and best wishes

Its not me, but I would have. Contrary to popular opinion, I think its a fantastic opportunity to put a little spotlight on our car, and another one put back on the road.
I certainly will look forward to it.

Re: Z1 required for a TV show
They shot my car for this earlier this week. Ed China was there driving the naked Z1 (all panels removed). Show will go out in the autumn.

Re: Z1 required for a TV show
Edd is an extremely nice chap. Very friendly and very enthusiastic about all things cars. All I can say against him is that he is extremely tall.
