Seat panel lower tabs broken

Post by bluejay »

Hello folks,...

up to the next failure, on my passenger seat the tabs that fix the panel at the bottom have broken off.

Wondering if repair is possible or even worth it, or should I order a new rear panel (not even sure if it is available!)

When repairing my door latch/button issues, we noticed one of the tabs was broken. We just used WB Weld to re-attach and it worked great.

How badly are your tabs broken, and do you have all the pieces?

I have sourced a replacement (2nd hand) from RKV trading in the Netherlands.

I want to do a re-espray and will be mounting it back on the seat soon!!!

The fixing tabs break very easily if the securing stud is over tightend. Finger tight with threadlock is fine.

I am pretty sure one of the German specialists produce a small 3 d printed replacement repair section/ tab which can be bonded onto the seat shell.
