At Last I've Bought a Zed

Post by TOUCH of CLASS »

Hi,
Very excited newbie, I've bought a '99, 2.8, in Hellroot ( Red), with a hardtop, 60,000 miles and it drives like a real dream, and I.M.H.O. it looks striking. I will post some pictures very soon.
I'd like to add some chrome bits and a strut brace, so if anyone has some for sale, please let me know.
What a fantastic site this is.

It's a fantastic zedding morning up here - just driven from Cheshire over to Leeds sans roof - little chilly over Saddleworth - get out there and drive your new toy! 8-)

Cheers R.

I don't like to boast - but yesterday I drove topless from Castellane, in the French alps north of Nice, to the Dordogne - 550 miles with the roof down - I've almost forgotton how to put it up!

I'm really jealous, Mike. My wife and I spent our holiday this year based just outside Castellane and toured the Gorge du Verdon and surrounding area, but as we went with my in laws, had to take the daily driver. Such a spectacular area and highly recommended for Zedding!

We returned to Calais cross country via Sisteron, Montelimar and Aubenas, with an overnight stay in Le Puy en Velay, which was also through some superb scenery, before hitting the motorways home.

Anyway, sorry to hijack the thread! I'll go now!

Hi and welcome. Don't limit yourself to the summer months of topless driving. I enjoy winter topless fun with hats/scarf and a flask of tea. ( I almost said a rum toddy then, but don't want to give the wrong impression) :D

Thanks for all your welcoming replies.
I'm hoping to get the hardtop off this weekend.
Still looking for some nice shiney bits and a strut brace if anyone can help.
I've only polished the zed twice, since Sunday.
Will post some photos as soon as sun shines.

Nice one, enjoy and welcome ! :)

When I got mine I did 800 miles on a long weekend with the roof down, superb.

Careful with that hardtop, they are a lot heavier than you think and they take up a pile of space !!

Make lots of miles while the sun shines ! 8-)
