First Post - New Owner

Post by daveyk101 »

Well thanks to this great site I have finally bought a Z3 - I went the ebay route watching various cars over the past few months then bidding on / losing some nice cars..... My original budget was £3000 give or take , which appeared to be bottom line for a good usable car I had my heart set on a 2.8 but I new I would be lucky to get one for £3000. I did come across a few damaged/non MOT'd cars within my budget but calculated that after repair work I would still be spending well over £3000 and who knows how much more... then just before Christmas a Z3 1.9 came up on ebay - buy it now £2300 - I offered £2100 and the deal was done, I drove it home before the owner changed his mind and am well pleased. There have been a few probs (brake warning light staying on, Seat moving back and forth, Water leaks, only one key, etc...) but this site has helped with all above and I am slowly working through them.

I dont know if anyone will be bothered to read my ramblings but if any of you do... thanks .....

Thanks for your comments I will sus out how to add the photo properly I c*cked up first time - heyho... By the way the reason the brake light was on was no sensor cable fitted to front caliper.....and rear cable worn through 2 new cables later (approx £7 each) job done....

Congrats with your 1,9 and welcome on board!

Remember that "search" is your friend on this great forum - the issues you mention are well known already and have been described in writing and often with pictures.

Happy New Year!!!

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..
