I've been wondering whether to get them for my 18" ACS type3 racing alloys too. But cant decide  Partly whats puts me off is if they mark the alloys when you've put them on so you are stuck with them :head:
p.s Jonttt does have a set

Yep I have a brand new boxed set for 18inch wheels (I can't remember if the same set fit 17's, something tells me they do but would have to check. I know 19's are a different set)

Yep they are not for sale, part of my pension. They will be worth a cruise round the med in 20 years lol

.......rub it in John !! I was offered twice what I paid for my Type III's today....turned it down though...The prospective buyer wanted to use them on his race car because of the lightweight nature of them....I just couldn't let him have them with the strong possibility they could get trashed in a pile-up etc...

One of the downsides of the Z3 against my Z4 which I've just renewed at £90 for 6 months, I was expecting it to me more :)

A few bits arrived to be fitted when I get back to UK.
1) DW bonnet release handle.
2) Cruise control unit nr 65711387625 - for retro fitting cruise to MC.
Last major part, just got to install all the bits now.
3) Fire extinguisher seat mounting bracket.
4) Cover for 6 x CD player. Tidy up the boot appearance.

I didn't buy anything but decided to make a set of jack pads so that I can jack the car up more easily. They will slot into the top of the jack when it's top pad is removed and also into the axle stand when I need to keep the car up on stands for a while. I got fed up with messing about and crawling around underneath (getting too old!)

I know the feeling...age is a pain in the back! Fortunately I have a very accommodating mechanic who gives me the use of his hoist on a saturday morning if his w/shop allows. Makes for an absolute peasure working under the car. But I like what you've done there...well done!

Thanks, I have the feeling that they may get used for a twin eared diff conversion in the future (when I can find a suitable diff at a reasonable price).

New kumho ecsta sport KU39 tyres for the rear. Very similar characteristics and tread patterns to Conti sports. An awful lot better than the perished Dunlops that were on it when I bought it. The fronts are conti sports so they can stay for a while.

The part# for the dual ear cover is 1213049....so the diff it attaches to should be able to also fit the diff carrier in your Z3. All the 6cyl z3's have the same 188 diff...the 4's have the 168 diff which is a considerably smaller case than the 188...but the diff carrier in the 4's will accommodate the 188 diffs.

1. Auto Glym convertable kit
2. Grey Gate plastic window restorer
3. A M3 E36 short Gear Knob in leather for £20 only thing wrong is the 6 speed gate logo on it.

6. 6 months tax
7. 12 months insurance
8. 2 tanks of fuel
9 And a boat ride accross the Irish sea :D

Next on the list is a good old oil and filter change followed by 12 months mot!
