I get it all the time, OK I'm 23 but still, no one has a clue how much cars are worth. Ive only got a 2000 3.0 Z3. Worth what, 4k? If IM lucky.

However I am always getting it, how can you afford that?!?!

Who else gets this?

I spunk money on insurance lol. Ive had an m3 evo at 21, s2k at 22 and now the z.

when i was a lad (17) one of my first cars was 2002tii bmw .. third party insurance was £95 a month

it looked like a big yellow lada on steroids

It’s the BMW Effect. People seem blind to the number plate illustrating an old car and just see a shiny, relatively uncommon BMW sports car.
