Bonnet won't open!!

Got into the car this evening, and went to top up the oil, but when I pulled the bonnet catch, nothing happened!! Car goes for MOT on Tuesday, so any help would be appreciated. Quickly!!! Lol!!Thanks

A few folk have had this problem so you should find a few older posts and get some good advice.
It seems that pressing down on the front of the bonnet above the grills whilst someone pulls the bonnet catch works for some.

Hi'

I would sujest caution when pressing down on the front of the bonnet that area has no backing support and you will end up with a couple of small dents
from your palms.

I woold push down on the bmw badge and try to spread the load.

Thanks guys. Got it open by pushing down on the bonnet while a helper pulled the catch. Think it's time for grease!!

Bet that was a relief!
Might be worth doing the door catches at the same time, a similar thing happens to them if they get a bit dry.
