Replacement back box for `98 1.9 4 cylinder

Has anybody got any experience of these or similar from Fast lane styling on ebay?

I haven't come across this firm, the box doesn't look an exact fit as the 1.9 (M44) rear box has two hanger bars. It looks as if you would have to cut the existing exhaust just behind the rear box - the section of pipe between the middle and rear box (which you would therefore retain) is also prone to rust. I've come across Cobra who also have an example on YouTube - they are quite well known in the context of the 1.9 Z3. A used Cobra one is also on ebay at present.

The Cobra ones are quite sporty which may, or may not, be what you want.

I replaced my 1.9 system last year with a Longlife one - it was expensive but my choice was restricted as my cat broke up and failed an MOT as well.

Thanks for comments Del. The ebay link is on my watch list, but the seller has re-posted it today as cash collection only, which may not make it not worthwhile depending on final price.
I agree with yor comments about cutting middle pipe and corrosion - they do offer to supply middle pipe and as I will need one anyway I will ask for a price.
My cat failed earlier this year and was replaced. During this we noted that the small hanger on the mid-section of the pipe was no longer there!!!

Johnco ,the reason it looks wrong is the width of the Cobra is around 8 1/2" whereas the original is around 13"(measured in the dark,9:30pm,raining).

will this muffler fit my bmw z3 1,9? Is it 2 1/4' or is it 2 1/2' ?

I think this gives a nice sound to be a 4 sylinder... hear this:

I have been under mine today doing other work so I took a quick dimension.
The OD of the middle pipe is 2". I believe mine has the original cat back system - OEM 18 10 1 433 388.
