What's your private plate?

Post by g8jka »

Quite a few of us have a private plate on our car, but what do they stand for? Names, initials, car related or just for fun?

Mine is G8 JKA (although my showplates  have no spacing)

Image

My surname is Gojka and my plate is pretty close to it :)

Whats yours :?:

My car has M12 PLR - PLR my initials
My wifes Alpina has MAR 15E - her name is Marise. Looks superb, no spaces, spots or corruptions. :D
Fortunately she bought it for herself - phew!
Sapphire black/Imola red and black interior/ red roof/ S54 - the only RHD one made.

I have SNU 177, no association to me or my initials. I hated looking at the car and seeing the age of it through the number plate so SNU was bought :D

Got Y9 JRH on the daily driver and bought V9 JRH for the Z a couple of months ago from regtransfers. Paid the money but despite the seller being sent 5 transfer forms he's not returned any and doesn't answer the phone now either :head:
Liked it because it the V and Y pretty similar looking. Regtransfer refunded the money on monday :head:

H6LBN on the wifes Z3.
M16K KT on my Saab.

Ive also got M16K KT on the caravan strangely!!

Both bought many years ago from the DVLA site, I think it was about £250 each and both were birthday pressies for each other. The wifes was also on her 1st Z3 and has been on many cars since. Mine has just come off my bike so i could sell it and went onto the car as thats cheaper than retention.
