What is this....

Can anyone tell me what the wire is for that goes from the interior light area to my rear view mirror? Rather puzzled that I've only just noticed it! Thanks!

There is a small circuit board that sits behind the mirror glass for the central locking receiver. :)

Ahh! Thanks! So it won't be a anti dazzle mirror as I first suspected?

Unfortunately not, I do not think anti dazzle mirrors were fitted to any of the Z range, would have been a good idea though.

I thought the ///M cars had them, as there is a known problem with the liquid in them becoming displaced.

Ah - I spend a lot of time on the American forum, so that explains why I thought that. Also explains why I have to stop myself pronouncing Coupe as 'coop', or calling the bonnet the 'hood', etc...
