Auto box hole
Auto box hole
Had the car up on a ramp this morning and noticed that there is a rectangular hole in the bottom of the bell housing through which I can see the flywheel and torque converter. Is this hole supposed to be there of should there be a plug in it or something? I would imagine that its an inspection hole of some kind but it does seem kind of strange that it is open to the elements like this?

Re: Auto box hole
Just had a look at OEM parts site, no bung in the diagrams of the auto box and no part listed, seems like its for drainage and ventilation?

Sorry to sound stupid, but have seen the term OEM a lot here, what does that stand for?
