Terraclean for 2.2 Z3 2001

Post by Fawdy »

Hi

So I have decided to have my engine treated to the new terraclean service to clean the fuel injection system and remove all carbon deposits. They say it improves performance, and MPG by up to 14% plus reduces emissions to the same levels as when it left the factory in 2001. All for £105.00... I'll let you know if it works !!!

Has anyone had this done and any experiences ? Good or bad?

Only seen this on the Wheeler Dealers Jaguar episode - would be very grateful and interested to hear the feedback. :)

Do they also say that they will cleave your engine and splay the cylinders  ?

Are you doing an emissions check before and after?

Please report back here once you've had it done. I'd be very interested to know what you think. It's something I've considered but would like to get some honest feedback first. :)

Cheers

I can honestly say the Terraclean worked well.

I had it done at Tuna Motorsport in Keyworth Nottingham and the guys there are brilliant. (I notice the midland Nissan Skyline owners club use this guy also).

The service was £105 plus I paid £10 for the test before and after.

Before the car was reading 0.161 CO2, the MOT limit is 0.200, after the reading was 0.011.

The car is returning much better MPG than before but the biggest change was the performance! it now seems to pull so much stronger and idle much smoother.

I can truly recommend this service, plus the lads noticed I has a small hose split, they replaced it FOC and that I can't knock.

All I need now is the wheels powder coated and I'm going to replace the rear tyres as the last owner fitted budget tyres which look rubbish.

Excellent. I bet your MOT tester will think his machine is broken :D .

My opinion is that these cleaning systems and things like Reddex/STP injector cleaners and Cataclean cat cleaner, all work better on older cars like Z3s.

Ha ha ha it is me and yes really worth a go ! We will have to meet up as would love to see your 3.0ltr. Mine is now having a little bit spent on it and when I'm finished should be mint condition.

I also can't wait to see our other friends new Z4 M Sport !! So may be we need a meet up somewhere.

Hi Fawdy,
Really interested to hear about your experience with Terraclean, I spent some time speaking to them at the Classic Car show last year and was thinking about it as a "job for 2014" Also, in the off season I watched the Wheeler Dealer episode and that looked pretty impressive but, being a sceptical sort I was waiting to hear from someone on the forum.
As Keyworth is just down the road from me I'll be paying them a visit soon :)

By the way, as you are local will you be joining myself and KoolFlyer for our trip to the Newark air museum in May?
