soft top repair
soft top repair
have been trying to find something to repair my soft top , the stitching was starting to come apart.around the window, leaving a gap , tried to get it stitched at a car trimmer but he didnt want to know. My local diy shop has just started stocking a flexible repair adhesive called Stormsure, which is actually designed , amongst other uses , for car soft tops, have tried it and it seems to work, have a look at their website, Stormsure, they seem to be making a soft top repair kit
Re: soft top repair
Stormsure is well known in the wetsuit area as a very good sealent.
I have used this on the A pillers to plug the holes letting in water.
The chap who installed my new window stiched a few loops into my window surround, said
I should have had a go as it is simple enough.

Re: soft top repair
I hand stitched up my original roof. As long as you use the existing holes it is easy, all the stiches are an even size and all in the correct place, just needs a bit of patience.

Re: soft top repair
your both probably right re stitching it up, but anyway, I used the Stormsure on it and it seems to have done the trick, for a while, if it goes again will have a go at stitching it
