After I recently replaced the air-con condenser because of stone impact damage, I decided I didn't want the same to happen again.
I purchased a sheet of ally mesh from b&q and trimmed it to the aprox shape with scissors & secured it to the standard grill with cable ties.
Job done in 20mins.Image

I think that looks smart and I guess a cheap modification/fix, always the best ones.
