Hi all,
I need to replace one of the bulbs that sits behind the heater controls, its the one nearest the drivers side at the top of the panel. Think its between the temp and blower controls. For those who have atempted this is it possible to gain access from the drivers side panel in the footwell rather than extracting the ICE headunit?
Many thanks,
Tim.

I replaced mine by removing the radio which allows you to gain access and replace the bulb. Some of them are stiff and don't just pull out, if so you need to undo the two blots at the bottom of the radio slot. Once these are removed the controls come forward enabling you to change the bulb.

would be very hard from the bottom (side) - theres not a lot of wires behind there but enough to not know what you are doing and absolutely no chance of seeing unsless you have the mirror skills of a dentist.... its in from the top Im afraid... remember to change all the bulbs at the same time - even the working ones otherwise you will be doing this again very soon

Thanks for your help guys looks like radio is coming out then in all honesty it needs to come out anyways as its squeeking a little.
Do the bulbs just pull out or twist and pull, thanks again,
Tim.

From what I remember they just pull out, but then again my memory is not what it was

Cheers for that, from reading Roberts write up looks they are a push fit albeit a tight fit.Fender2004 wrote:Do the bulbs just pull out or twist and pull, thanks again.

Yes a very tight fit... after doing mine initially the heat dial kinda got stuck at 50% when you turned it... it would turn past it but there was definitely a little bit of snagging. Initially I thought that I had twisted and damaged the cable somehow during the twisting process while trying to see what was going on. However, this summer when I had the full interior out I realised that I had not seated the drivers side bulb fully - it was illuminating and working fine but the dial was just catching it ever so slightly so yes.. they are tight so push them in and then push a little moreTitanTim wrote:Cheers for that, from reading Roberts write up looks they are a push fit albeit a tight fit.Fender2004 wrote:Do the bulbs just pull out or twist and pull, thanks again.
