Wing Mirror Corrosion?

Looking at some adverts they mention wing mirror corrosion, is
this something i should be looking at when i go to see a car
advertised. What should i be looking for?

Bob - yes is the short answer. The mirror bases are prone to corrosion which bubbles up quite badly and in the worst case weakens the base so if you try to fold the mirror it can snap. If it's relatively minor it's an easy fix but will mean removing the mirrors, stripping the bases, etch priming and repainting.

Just a bargaining point.Don't try and force them to move until you have read the repair guide on here somewhere. Not a deal breaker and most have suffered or are suffering from the problem.
