Style 55 (5 spokes) on 2001 2.2i (non sport)....7J16 I think.
Should be 255/50/16 afaik.....have this size on all 4 rims currently, albeit they are aged & well worn Contis. The current fitment just seem a bit wide but I think they are out off shape.
New tyres going on tomorrow hopefully......Nexen N'Fera SU1
Anyone able to confirm size is correct for these rims ?
Early replies appreciated.

Re: Correct tyre size confirmation
Your steering must be awful heavy then! 255 is more common on the rears only in a staggered setup. I trust that was a typo!
The standard width is 225 and on 16" rims, that would be 225/50 R16.
If you look on the sticker on the drivers door jamb, it gives both tyre sizes and recommended tyre pressures.

Re: Correct tyre size confirmation
Doh.....yes I meant it has 225/50/16 fitted....sorry for typo confusion.
The door jam has various details of sizes and ratings.
205/55/16v
205/60/15v
225/50/16 v
225/50/16 w
Original brochure with my car rims pictures states 225/50/16

Re: Correct tyre size confirmation
Well from that, you can ignore the one for 15" wheels, so it gives you a choice of three tyres:
205/55 R16 speed rating V
225/50 R16 speed rating V
225/50 R16 speed rating W
I can confirm that mine was fitted with 225/50 R16s when new (albeit on style 35 Z-stars), but I think that has remained standard for 16" wheels throughout production, regardless of style.
The 15" pepperpot wheels were definitely 205s, and there was also a 17" wheel available. On the 2.8 and facelift cars there was the option of a staggered fitment, with wider rears, but the from fronts were still 225s. The ///M has always had a staggered fitment as standard, with 225 front and I'm pretty sure 245 rear (though a lot of people run 255).
Cheers R.

Re: Correct tyre size confirmation
Thanks I am going with 225/50/16
Just checked realoem which shows style 55's shod with 225/50/ ZR16
Currently fitted Conti's are clearly well past it.

Re: Correct tyre size confirmation
255/50/16 Nezen N'Fera SU1 x4 now all fitted.
Although stamped with same dimensions what came off definitely sat wider....the tyre fitter confirmed this - very odd, possibly down to deformation - not sure.
Anyway as stated will post a review once I have some varied driven miles on these.
