I'm amazed that otherwise sensible people are willing to spend so much money on something which makes no difference to the driving of the car, and which can only legally be used while parked.

Angel eyes are just another fashionable gimmick - the money would be better spent on petrol, or anything else which is useful.

I know - I'm going to be called old and cynical again, but who cares?

Thanks for the recommendation Top Fuel King.

Im fitting Leelees angel eyes today. In fact hes dropping the car off here in the next 20 minutes.

I'll be back on later to show some pics etc.

I had the pleasure of meeting Peter (fixer) in the week and he recommended signing up to the site.

I dont have a Z3 myself, I have an e36 but as far as BMW modifying is concerned, I like to think I know what Im on about.

My company covers every kind modification, be it engine/transmission/drivetrain performance, style, chassis/suspension upgrade or lighting products. I can supply and fit.

For te Z3 I do a great range of Angel Eyes, Full HID conversions, Hyperwhite Headlight bulbs, xenon-look interior lighting etc etc.

Hope to see and hear from some of you soon.

@Mods/Admin - If this post is deemed too "hard sell" please notify me

Ive been modding BMW for almost 4 years now, and have a very good knowledge, especially where lighting is concerned. Its important to me to try the new products to corrctly recommend them to prospecive customers.

The z3 angels are a real pain in the ass to fit.

Kind of thing where once youve fitted a set, they're fine, but the first time you try it, things can easily go wrong.

I only had chance to do one side of Leelees car today, so Im doing the other side tomorrow (in a spare headlight), then driving down to Milton Keynes on Tuesday to deliver and fit the other side.

If anyone else is after a set of these I can offer a fitting service. It's not cheap due to the amount of time it takes. I am also planning to offer an exchange basis system similar to the system I offer to my e36/e46 customers. Basically, I prefit a set into a donor set of Z3 headlights, then send them to you. You remove the orignal lamps, refit the new ones and them my courier collects the old ones off you and returns them to me; where the porcess starts over again. This system carries a £35.00 surcharge ontop of the supply price and fitting charge, this £35.00 covers the postage "both ways"

Please email/PM me for any more info.

Fixer,

The kits are £119.95. This is for the rings, the inverters the fixings etc. You will need your own heatgun and clear silicone sealant.

But I re-terate, the z3 rings as top fuel king knows; are very fragile, and fitting is tricky to say the least.

If I were to offer these on a supply only basis it would only be once I'd produced a decent fitting guide.

Obviously if you guys coulde arrang a number of you to do a group buy, I can do these cheaper.

Mods/Admin, please notify me if I'm overstepping the mark here.

Once the lens protector has been removed, you remove two screws and the orange lens comes out, so the answer would be yes. You can also buy clear replacements from Germany.

Oooooooh

The chromeline ones are far better than those!

The ones I supply are the titanium 6 edition, fully plastic ribbed for a thicker ring, and metal backed to stop any of the light reflecting back once on.

The fitting charge to do these by myself will be £119.95 (3-4 hour job), the kits themsleves I can offer to forum members at £99.95.

Removing the orange indicator lense is another ball game altogether. Since fitting the angels, ony requires the backs to be removed, to remove the fronts to get to the orange reflector would be more time consuming, hence more cost.

Im looking at pricing up healdight replacements too, so you UK guys can have the same "projector" based lights that the yanks have. These look truly awesome with a retrofitted HID Xenon conversion.

Wow - very nice indeed. I've often thought about doing this mod myself but always been put off by the quality/fitment/durability etc etc concerns that seemed to be common with the aftermarket kits in the US (a lot of talk about it on the US forums over the years) but looks like maybe things have progressed in quality terms. I'd be really interested in some long term comments on how these pan out etc.

Karen- Really pleased I could get this sorted for you.

As Ive said, I like every customer who has worked done by myself to be pleased.

I always put 100% into every installation I do. Believe it or not, it took me 7 hours to fit the rings to the new headlights to make sure they were perfect.

Please email me about the rear light units and side repeaters and we can take it from there.

Kiwi - my kits have been installed for almost a year now on the BMW e36s.

These CCFL angels (cold cathode fluorescent lighting) have been around for ages, but with time, each generation gets better and better.

We are now on generation 6 "titanium". Not only has the colour been tuned to appear more white, less blue. but the glass rings are now emcased in a ribbed plastic tube resulting in a thicker stronger ring of light. The backs are now metallised plastic, which makes sure no light is reflected back into the headlight. This often causes the sprial effect as seen on topfuelkings car. This excess light retracts from the effect of the angel rings. hence why my kits look much more defined and effective.

Topfuel king - I didnt mean to offend you with my post mate, just showing a bit of pride thats all. The umnitza Z3 kits look to be a very early generation of angels. My kits look thicker due to the actual wya the angel are constructed. They are much bigger thicker and durable and heat resilient. By the way, you need some of my HB4 Hyperwhite Headlight bulbs man, yours look very yellow indeed.

Zanzi
- prices and pics to follow.

Fixer
- Let me know if you want a kit buddy.

Thanks for your time.

Ben.

LMAO!!!

Dude,

When the Umnitzas pack up, gimme a ring for the Titanium Angels.

Also the Hyperwhites I do for the Z3 (HB4) are very impressive and are £16.95 per pair.

Thanks for the interest.

Chromeline Design Angel Eyes Kit

Post by Fixer »

After seeing those angel eyes on LeeLee's Z, I ordered a kit from Ben at Chromeline Design on Friday and they came Saturday morning.(great service) These are not a flimsy tube like the ones you see on ebay, the tube is covered with hard plastic and very well made.
I think the side light bulbs need changing, they look very yellow against these now.

I would say these are the best on the market at the moment and would recommend these.

They are very tricky to fit so If your in any doubt I would suggest getting Ben to supply and fit them for you.

ATM i'm still busy installing my own "home-made" angel eyes. Every ring has a total of four LED's (10.000cmd each).

In this pic only 4 of the 8 leds are installed:

Looks "evil" dont ya think. :P

Got the idea from a Japanese site btw:

Those are the biss M8, no obstruction on the lens at all, and also clear lenses for the indicators, would be better in English.

Ta.
Next week or so, i'm gonna buy some stuff to create the clear lenses myself. Why spent tons of cash on ebay, if u could easily make them yourself?

Maybe this link will get you any further:
