Red, yellow stuff pads not oem

Post by Badman gee »

Hello,

Is there a requirement to inform your insurance company if you fit the ebc red or yellow brake pads?

Thanks

Yes, they're classed as uprated brakes. I'm just going through the tortuous process of letting my insurers know my mods, and brake lines and brake pads are on their list, so I assume that most insurers would call them mods. (I'm with Footman James).

Sorted the insurance today, extra £110 for the remaining 5 months, which covers -

increasing annual miles from 3k to 5k
adding my 30 year old GF
list of mods = brake pads, braided lines, ACS suspension, H&R ARB's, poly bushes.

Not too bad, cheers, Ian

Thanks again Ian,

Spoke to my insurance company regarding the pads.

They wont charge me, but have included it on the policy.

That is the only modification i have.
