Zed Three

Post by marcusplowman »

I just bought this yesterday so thought I should get signed up on here and start posting! Its a 2000 2.8 with 65k and full history. After 17 years of Vauxhall ownership I thought it was time for a change. I wanted an E46 M3 but couldnt justify spending that much money on a car that will only do 1-2k a year :)

Spec:
2000 2.8 M52TU with 65k
Full service history with all old MOTs and receipts
Titan Silver
Tanin Red Oregon leather with matching mats
Staggered 17" 5 spoke alloys
Electric hood
M steering wheel
Aircon
Heated electric mirrors
Hardtop fitting kit
Complete tool kit with warning triangle and first aid kit
Tonneau cover
Wind deflector with storage bag
Genuine BMW fitted indoor cover with storage bag

Mods:
Alpine 1004R multimedia headunit
Alpine KCA-420 iPod Adapter Kit
Shorter alloy gearknob
Clear side repeaters
De-tangoed front headlights
Stubby Citroen aerial
Richbrook carbon fibre TAX and MOT disc holders

A very warm welcome to the Zdmunity marcusplowman, looks like a very nice example to. Same leather colour as I have in my 3.0ltr.
I hope you get many years of top down enjoyment and not too many probs.

Welcome. Looks really good. Mine's a silver '99. Highly recommend the magnetic stoneguards hang_em_high sells on here. They look very good against the silver. Hope you enjoy the car.

Still it's a better match for your car with the red interior.

I got myself a new blank remote key from ebay yesterday as the original buttons were a bit worn...a walk to Timpsons in town then home to swap over the internals and £15 later I have a nice new key! Also got a new BMW wind deflector in the post this morning!

A few evenings last week were spent fixing a slighty worn drivers seat...took my time and did it right...for the measly sum of under £16 :D

Before...some deep creases and a small hole starting in the leather...

During...hole patched and filler being applied...

After...

Very impressive collection indeed! the big model you have sitting outside is looking great aswell! Dont want to offend any Z4 drivers....but every time i see a Z3 and Z4 beside each other?..theres just no comparison!

There cant be many more z3 model cars out there to buy now surely? have you tried your hand at making a model kit of one yet?

I got some new goodies for Crimbo and got round to fitting them this week...LED sidelight and number plate light bulbs, black grilles, stonechip guards, UK font pressed plates and a rear plate surround! Also got a new battery in so apart from a passenger door that wont unlock Bob is back to full health :D

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..

Love how this has progressed, what rear lips are these? The universal ones or eBay? I wanted to go for the ducktail look but struggling to find one I like. This looks great.

Its one of the ones from Taiwan ebay...its already cut to the right length but I did apply heat with a hairdryer to curve it when sticking it on. I thought it would take ages to be delivered but I ordered it on a Sunday and it arrived the following Friday! :)
