Was there a Z2?

Post by TR4man »

I was asked this question yesterday when a chap was admiring my car in a petrol station :)

There was a Z1, Z3 and Z4 - but what happened to the Z2?

Anyone know?

I don't know why they went out of sequence - perhaps 2 is an unlucky under in Bavaria :D

That looks very nice, but the FWD and engine choice will not appeal to enthusiasts I think.

The price looks very appealing, as from the press reports the price starts around £20000!

I suspect it was because the Z3 was based on the 3 series. BMW seem to have lost the plot when it comes to their model numbering lately :)
