Leather Repair Kits

Post by BonBon »

Do they really work?
Looking for a recommended kit to fix a (non-clean) tear in my passenger seat.
Seems a small patch in the leather seat covering I got on fleabay was not top quality and has just given up.

Yes. Try Furniture Clinic.

2001 Z3 2.2 Topaz Blue (Trudy) - Keeper rebuilt from a write-off
2002 Z3 2.2 Titan Silver (Cookies) - Keeper rebuilt having been bought with a seized engine
2002 Z3 3.0 Sapphire Black (Peanut) - Keeper awaiting rebuilding having been bought as an abandoned project
Plus Willy, Kodak & Maycee - All 2.2 Sport projects. Yes, 6 is a lot of Z3s :)
Always happy to try and help with spares :)

Thanks for the heads up on Furniture Clinic. Good Kit.
I did not only have tears - I had 2 large areas with inferior leather (from Chinese Seats01 on Ebay before they closed)
Was not satisfied with Furniture Clinic's patch material and adhesive - so went with removing the cover and gluing inside big leather patches with Super7.
Big improvement which will stop the propagation... and in a while will improve the color and finish.
(Thanks Imgur for the free hosting service service :cheers )
